I had the pleasure to shop for a suitable replacement notebook computer to replace an aging and battle scarred brick of a laptop.  It still functions and I may use it as a trouble shooting tool in the field from time to time.

Though this unit was a bit more expensive than my prospective budget,  the added features are well worth the modest increase in cost.  $599 on sale.

Recently Consumer Reports magazine rated the A505-6980 as it’s third choice overall, first in the 16″ laptop category.  Another Toshiba Satellite was named the best buy.

I highly recommend this particular unit to those seeking advice on their laptop purchases.
