Recent experiences of note.
09-03-2008 Finally, I have my Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 Quad core processor system completed. It works like a charm. One interesting aspect is the Gigabyte/Intersil "Dynamic Energy Saver" feature. I have performed numerous benchmarks using various utilities in the last few days. SisoSoft Sandra is one of the many benchmarking tools I utilize. According to the Sandra "Power Management Efficiency" benchmark, my system is much more energy efficient when I disable the Intersil Dynamic Energy Saver utility entirely. When I have the Intersil "Dynamic Energy Saver" utility enabled my system is very inefficient ranking 4th of 5 systems compared. When I have it disabled my system is the most efficient, when compared to the stock reference systems.
