Adobe security issues

The Flash player and Acrobat reader have security issues again. This vulnerability affects Flash Player 9 through 10.0.45.2. ASUS P7H55M-Pro BIOS update

ASUS recently released a new BIOS update (1303) for the P7H55M-Pro motherboard. The new BIOS addresses memory errors with the 0802 BIOS. Memory tests revealed no issues but on rare occasions I was experiencing a couple of memory related errors. Fedora 13 slips another week.

The release schedule for Fedora 13 has been pushed back another week. The current release schedule indicates May 25, 2010 as the release date. I would much prefer to see a product released well tested than as a beta. Microsoft could learn a lesson from Fedora in this regard.

Ubuntu 10.04 Launches!

For those who have been anxiously awaiting the release of Ubuntu 10.04, the wait is over.   Ubuntu 10.04 is available now. 10.04 is a LTS release.  This means that the workstation version will have 3 years of support and updates and the server version will have 5 years of support and updates available.

REACT raids Gizmodo editor’s residence

Jason Chen’s house was raided with a search warrant by REACT Officers today.  This was in relation to the Apple iPhone prototype. I think this may create some serious issues for Apple if they pursue criminal charges in this matter.
